At Derry Quay Lodge we also offer you the opportunity to shoot wild duck in the evening’s flight.

The duck flighting is usually done in and around small ponds and rivers in the areas around Derry Quay Lodge.

This usually happens late in the evenings in the light starts to fade to the night.

Depending on the weather the ducks will fly from the lake to the shelter of the inland ponds and rivers for the night.

The most common duck we see hunting like this is the teal but we can also find Mallard, Wigeon,Shoveler Tufted Duck and pochard
